About us
We opened our purpose-built surgery in 2006, having expanded from a very small branch in Alyth, and our fantastic facilities allow us to offer a tailored service to our pets and clients.
We have overnight hospitalisation facilities for pets should they need to stay overnight whilst we care for them. We are able to run most blood samples at the surgery, allowing us to get results quickly, often within 20 minutes, and to move forwards with any treatment right away. We try our best to keep your pet’s visit to the vet positive. We have a spacious waiting room for cats and dogs, and separate cat and dog wards with soft luxurious bedding designed to minimise the stress caused to our inpatients when they spend the day with us.
Our highly experienced farm and equine teams are also based out of our Blairgowrie practice, and cover the whole of Perthshire. Hospitalisation for horses and calves will be at our Kirriemuir branch.
We always make the effort to engage with our local community, and are happy to treat local wildlife free of charge if you bring them in, as well as liaising with the SSPCA to ensure the best outcome for the animals. We also do regular talks for schools and community groups, including tours of our practice.

Our Practice Plan is the best way to ensure your pet stays healthy
Our Practice Plan is designed to spread the cost of preventative care across a monthly direct debit. Our Practice Plan Extra goes one step further, allowing us to provide the highest standard of care to our patients, including unlimited free consultations with our vets and nurses. That’s right – plan members can visit our practice as often as they like, and they won’t be charged for consultations!
Pet insurance that trusts us as much as you do
If your pet becomes unwell or has an injury, getting them the treatment they need – rather than the treatment you can afford at the time — can be vital. That’s why we’ve partnered with Pet Proactive. Together, we’re offering simple to understand and fairly priced lifetime insurance, bespoke to our clients, which reflects our pricing and the level of care we aim to offer your pet.
