We are happy to see individual birds at our surgery for examination and treatment, but also offer site visits and inspections for any flock based problems. Should it prove necessary we are able to carry out in house post-mortems to provide rapid diagnosis, with culture and sensitivity results to aid quicker decisions on treatments.

At our practices in Kirriemuir and Blairgowrie we stock all kinds of poultry medicines, from routine prophylactic parasitic treatments for worms, lice and mites, as well as prescription medicines required for more serious disease problems. Here’s how it works: We purchase vaccines in bulk and carefully package them into single doses that are ready for you to administer at home. Most of the vaccines are designed to be given as eye drops, which makes them easy and stress-free to apply. In some cases, vaccines may need to be administered via injection, but don’t worry—we provide clear instructions to guide you through the process.

To get started, simply let us know in advance how many doses you’ll need for your flock. On the designated pick-up day, you can collect your pre-packaged doses from our Kirriemuir branch. It’s a quick and easy process, but it’s essential to be prepared—once you pick up the vaccines, you have just two hours to administer them to your birds to ensure their effectiveness.

We recommend planning ahead to have everything you need ready before you collect your vaccines, so you can go straight from pick-up to application without any delay. This ensures that your birds receive the best possible protection right when they need it.
