We offer easy access to an expert team of vets, supported by our veterinary hospital four miles up the road in Kirriemuir if your pet requires surgery, overnight hospitalisation or advanced care. We can offer acupuncture at our Forfar branch.
As well as consulting, we have a large range of pet foods, toys and other pet shop stuff that every pet owner would be delighted to get their hands on

Our Practice Plan is designed to spread the cost of preventative care across a monthly direct debit. Our Practice Plan Extra goes one step further, allowing us to provide the highest standard of care to our patients, including unlimited free consultations with our vets and nurses. That’s right – plan members can visit our practice as often as they like, and they won’t be charged for consultations!

If your pet becomes unwell or has an injury, getting them the treatment they need – rather than the treatment you can afford at the time — can be vital. That’s why we’ve partnered with Pet Proactive. Together, we’re offering simple to understand and fairly priced lifetime insurance, bespoke to our clients, which reflects our pricing and the level of care we aim to offer your pet.
Our Forfar branch offers a pet consultation service and well stocked shop.
In Forfar, a small team of vets and receptionists are here to care for your pets. Farm and equine prescriptions can also be collected from here.

You can register your pet online through our website or simply book an appointment and we’ll register you when you visit. If you have any questions, you can call our Forfar team on 01307 466967 to get set up.
Yes – appointments can be booked online, through PetsApp messaging or by calling us. We offer convenient morning, afternoon and early evening slots.
We aim to offer same‑day appointments where possible. For emergencies or urgent cases we provide our own 24/7 service – no third‑party provider is used.

Yes – we have a spacious on‑site car park and our premises are wheelchair accessible.
No – while we offer consultations, nurse clinics, shop items and acupuncture at Forfar, any overnight hospitalisation or surgeries are arranged at our Kirriemuir branch.
We treat dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets. We also support farm and equine clients with veterinary prescriptions.
Yes – our 24 hour emergency service is hosted by our Kirriemuir branch, meaning you’ll always be seen by a Thrums vet.
Yes – we offer PetsApp messaging and video consultations for non‑urgent advice or appointment requests.
